We observe sil every Vesak Poya Day. In the evening Vesak Lanterns are lit in our house. Every Vesak Poya Day our family gathers prepare a Dansal. During the Vesak season we go to see the pandals and enjoy in the carnival.

Vesak Festival🙏
Vesak festival is the main religious festival of the Buddhists. The birth, enlightenment and passing away of Lord Buddha took place on the Vesak Poya day. 🙏The Vesak festival is held in the month of May. Many buddhists observe Sil in Vesak Poya day. Many people engage in religious observances. Vesak lanterns can be seen in every home during this period. Children love to make Vesak lanterns. Devotional songs shows and Vesak lanterns competitions can be seen every where during this period. Many people go on pilgrimages. The Siripa Season ends on Vesak Poya day.
